How do I activate Multi-Institution Custody?

You can activate Multi-Institution Custody (MIC) directly from your dashboard. Activation takes a few steps and includes verification with Onramp and our key partners, BitGo and CoinCover.

Activate MIC

  1. Click Activate on Multi-Institution Custody from your dashboard.

  2. Add your payment method. Link a card or bank account to pay your custody fees in US dollars.

  3. Record a video verification, if you haven’t already completed one when activating Multi-Institution Custody or Trade.

  4. Accept BitGo’s terms of service.

  5. Sign your agreements.

  6. Schedule a video verification call with BitGo.

  7. Accept CoinCover’s terms of service.

Once these steps are complete, your vault is created right away.
